Slatine are situated on the east part of Island Čiovo. The island of Čiovo is connected to mainland by the bridgein ancient Trogir so it makes an entirety with a city. Slatine are 10 km far from Trogir.
Čiovo is island connected by bridge with mainland. So basically it is island and mainland at the same time. You can go normally, without any payment, to mainland with your car through bridge which is open 24 hours a day.
From Slatine you can go to Trogir, beside by car, by bus and by boat. Boat goes from beach every half an hour. You can also go by boat to Split which is very interesting and highly practical in the summer months, as you avoid the crowd on the road and travel faster and more comfortably.
Slatine is a small fishing village located on the northeastern side of the island of Ciovo. Healthy, ecologically grown vegetables, virgin olive oil, homemade wine, dried figs, almonds, fresh fish from Slatina fishermen, are everyday life here. There is a small boat link for 50 boats, a children's playground for football or basketball... pizzerias, restaurants and taverns with fish specialties and homemade wine complete the idyllic image
In Slatine you have everything you could need: mail, ambulance, exchange office, 4 restaurants, 3 shops. Restaurants offer Dalmatian cuisine of top quality.
The center of the place (small fishing ports) is where every important summer event takes place, such as a "fishing party", while the bar at the beach organizes daily entertainment with various amenities.
Near Slatine you'll find famous secluded Cava beachwith no homes or buildings in the area. To reach it, you have to go through Slatina and drive about 4 km to the east, mostly gravel and, somewhat rather rough road.
